ANNOUNCEMENT: This October, the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco returns to Washington State.

The Consulate’s consular outreach will run on 7-11 October 2022 in Mill Creek, Washington. Only passport renewal and dual citizenship applications will be offered.

Online appointment slots for this consular outreach will be released on 27 September 2022 at 6:00 p.m. (Pacific time), under the site name “PCG San Francisco – Outreach in Washington”. This week the Supreme Court announced in a 5-4 decision that POTUS is allowed to end the Trump-era “Remain in Mexico” asylum policy.

The Trump policy required thousands of asylum-seekers to either be detained in the U.S. or remain in border towns of Mexico to live in horrible, inhumane conditions for months, and for some, even years while they wait for the review of their asylum petitions.

Although a small win, we still wanted to take a moment to celebrate one of the very few pieces of good news out of the Supreme Court in the last several days.

It was a 5-4 decision.
