The GCCF is no longer. The Court Supervised Claims Process (CSCP) promises to be more transparent and generous. Some types of claims, e.g., insurance companies and moratorium claims, are still excluded from the proposed settlement agreement between the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee (PSC) and BP. However, the agreement is subject to change until Judge Barbier enters an order certifying the agreement. We are hopeful BP will decide to pay currently excluded claims and avoid negotiating those claims separately from the CSCP or defending a lawsuit from such claims. Update: Our attorney group met with Feinberg in D.C. two Thursdays ago. Feinberg says he has given our claims priority. We have an open line of communication with Feinberg's office and are working directly with the Price Waterhouse accountants who work for the GCCF.
