As an attorney, grandstanding never makes your client look good…you earn the respect of the court by working hard, being prepared and advocating…the integrity of your words will carry. You build your book, take the tough cases and work harder.

Some seek it for spotlight, others the challenge of unique cases. I’ve never needed the spotlight or attention…I love the work…nearly 15yrs of limiting the media and keeping my clients’ names out or quiet. Then these last few months showed up…and here I am, looking at myself on a television.

You don’t run or duck, stand…take the tough questions and keep working it.

NEW on OCTOBER 1st..

Enhanced Reckless driving statute…

Driving 30 mph or more over the posted limit will be classified as reckless driving. A conviction can result in jail time, a fine of up to $1,000, or both. Six points will be added to the driver's record.

NEW Reckless driving statute…

Driving 30 mph or more over the posted limit will be classified as reckless driving. A conviction can result in jail time, a fine of up to $1,000, or both. Six points will be added to the driver's record.

And to balance out the negatives…a strong positive with expungement laws…

shortens waiting periods for expungement, expands the list of eligible offenses and removes pardoned cannabis charges from public case search. Petitions for expungement may now be filed after five years for most misdemeanors, seven years for second-degree assault and 15 years for domestically related crimes.

Dozens of new Maryland laws will take effect Oct. 1, changing rules on traffic enforcement, criminal justice, and more. Here's a look at some of the new changes.

Text Spam. Don't respond!!
This is just one of many texts I have personally recd or recd from clients...rhe latest is this one labeled as MDOT and Maryland.gov ... and then there's the unpaid tolls texts...

Block and never respond. How to know:

Unsolicited messages:
If you receive a text message from an unknown number or a number you don't recognize, it could be spam.

Suspicious links:
Be wary of any links in the message, especially if they look generic or don't match the claimed sender.

Urgent requests:
Scammers often create a sense of urgency to pressure you into acting quickly without thinking, such as claiming you've won a prize or that there's a problem with your account.

Poor grammar and spelling:
Many spam texts contain errors in grammar and spelling, which can be a red flag.

Requests for personal information:
Never provide personal information like passwords, account numbers, or Social Security numbers via text message.

No one is above the law…especially, especially…when it is your job to enforce it. This is now the SECOND TIME evidence has been intentionally withheld from the Defense. Absolutely inexcusable.

Circuit Judge Mark W. Crooks said the information that had been withheld was evidence that could be considered exculpatory.
