This is why I love first-time homebuyers!!! ❤️

My buyer and I had previously been under contract on a different house. A house that he said “felt like home.”

But as we got further into the process, I helped my Buyer uncover some unhappy truth about the property…..and I actually encouraged him to walk away.

My job isn’t to just find you a house.
My job is to get you in it.
And more importantly - to get you into the RIGHT house.

It’s not always the easiest advice to give. OR to hear! It can be heartbreaking when you’ve already put so much time and emotion into finding a home.

But my buyer listened, and we walked away. And we kept looking.

Being a Realtor is probably the least interesting thing about me.

🐑 I work part-time at Green Heart Farm. Yes, I sing to the sheep, but I also shovel p**p, build fences, take down old ones, and help care for animals through their entire journey—including being part of the processing. I believe in knowing where our food comes from and respecting every step along the way.

🎭 A lot of my time is spent with The Dorset Players, Inc. I mostly act, but sometimes direct. Theater has always been one of the great loves of my life—the magic of telling stories is one of the special gifts I believe in greatly.

🥟 I love eating!!!! If you ever need a food or drink recommendation - I’m your gal!

⚒️ I’ve been known to snake a septic line and get down in the dirt — both in real estate and in DIY life. I’m not afraid of the messy or gross stuff.

⛰️ I live in a log cabin with my husband Rich. We have an Anatolian Shepherd named Stella, who is a retired farm dog. We like to adventure in the woods, eat buffalo chicken dip and play cribbage.

I’m a Realtor, but more importantly, I’m a Vermonter who believes a home is more than four walls—it’s where the messy, beautiful, ordinary, magical parts of life happen. ✨

For those who don’t know me very well, I used to always dream of performing on Broadway.

I even moved to New York City to pursue that dream .

I discovered a lot about myself during that time and one of the things I realized is that being outside in nature is such an important part of who I am - and that I couldn’t give it up.

When I go into the woods and close my eyes and the only noise I hear are birds, singing, and my own breathing , I feel at home. At peace.

I will never ever be one of the agents that shares posts about “The 5 Best Secret Swimming Holes” or “Vermonts Best Little Known Hikes.”

But I will encourage you to go adventure and explore this beautiful state!! Drive down a dirt road you’ve never been down. Go explore our national and state forests. I promise you’ll find your own secret, magical places along the way. 🩷 ⛰️ 🩷

Before the weekend gets busy, I hope you find a few minutes to slow down and just…be. I played hooky and spent my day hiking, singing songs , eating snacks and enjoying Mother Nature. Reminding myself to enjoy the day, the season, the moment. So remember this my friends -

Smell the balsam in the forest.
