LANDLORDS - Updating mailing addresses with Jefferson County PVA.

It’s important to keep it current so notices related to lead-hazard cases, code-enforcement actions, and tax bills go to the correct address. Lead-hazard oversight is handled by the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness, and code issues are handled by Louisville Metro Codes and Regulations.

Also, simply registering your property with the rental registry is not enough. Several departments don’t rely on the rental registry when sending notices, and they will use the PVA mailing address instead. If the PVA address is outdated, you can still be found out of compliance or miss critical notices — even if you’ve registered the property.

Updating the PVA address is an important step in addition to anything you choose to do with the rental registry.
