With a strong foundation in employment and business litigation, Matthew now focuses his practice in automotive litigation spearheading our law and motion department where he has successfully prevailed on dozens of dispositive motions on behalf of our clients on complex legal issues that impact the automotive legal community as a whole.

We’re proud to recognize Attorney Lissette. Lissette earned her law degree from Western State College of Law and has been an asset in defending consumer protection cases against automotive manufacturers in claims involving breach of warranty, fraud, the Consumer Legal Remedies Act and more. Lissette is known for her thoughtfulness in how she handles her cases and her ability to quickly learn the ropes in being an effective corporate litigator.

She’s currently involved with the Mexican American Bar Association and the Latina Lawyers Bar Association, staying connected to the legal community and committed to advocacy, representation, and growth.

One of the most fascinating places Lissette has had the opportunity to visit is Cairo, Egypt. Seeing the Pyramids of Giza up close was an unforgettable experience, and she was inspired by the city's rich history and vibrant culture.

We're excited to highlight Kevin, Senior Counsel at LTL Attorneys LLP, who has been practicing law for nearly 15 years, 9 of those with LTL. Before joining the firm, Kevin began his legal career at housing-rights nonprofits, advocating for low-income tenants in landlord-tenant disputes.

Kevin completed his undergraduate studies at UC Irvine before earning his law degree and entering practice. He now focuses on commercial and employment litigation, combining strong advocacy with a practical, solutions-oriented approach that clients appreciate.

Recently, he took an amazing trip to Ireland to explore his family roots in County Galway, a memorable experience that connected past and present.

When he’s not working, you’ll likely find Kevin watching USC football or cheering on the Dodgers. He rarely misses a chance to travel for a good game.

We're glad to recognize our Partner, Jacky Wang. Jacky is one of the most hard working individuals that our team has met. His passion and drive in defending Fortune 500 companies is like no other. Jacky currently serves as one of the firm’s department leads, leading the team through all stages of litigation from inception through trial.

One of Jacky’s most memorable travel experiences was visiting Petra, Jordan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. 🏛️ Exploring its history and architecture left a lasting impression.

Outside of work, Jacky enjoys traveling, cruising, and running. 🛳️🏃‍♂️ He’s completed six Los Angeles Marathons and all fourteen Disneyland Half-Marathons joining a small group of runners who’ve done every single one. 🏅

We're proud to recognize Attorney Jeremy Basuga as a valuable member of our team. Jeremy started as a law clerk and quickly proved himself to be a strong minded attorney. Jeremy is a graduate of Western State College of Law and primarily works on civil litigation defending automakers in cases of breach of contract and fraud.

Jeremy is actively involved in the legal community as a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Filipino-American Lawyers of Orange County (FLOC), and the Philippine-American Bar Association (PABA), reflecting his commitment to both his heritage and the practice of law.

The coolest places Jeremy has traveled to are the many islands, towns, and cities across the Philippines, thanks to the rich culture, incredible hospitality, and of course, the unforgettable food!

Also worth noting: Jeremy’s dog Max (short for Maximilian), whose birthday happens to fall on the same day as Beyoncé’s—September 4th. 🐾👑

Phil- We’re proud to highlight Attorney Phil, whose dedication to both law and service continues to inspire. Phil brings 54 plus years of experience with a strong background in in complex litigation involving a broad range of fields including personal and catastrophic injuries, medical issues, insurance fraud, disability, medical malpractice, accidental death and construction defects. Today, Phil assists us with our automotive and general liability practice.

Before returning to LA, Phil spent several years in Boston, where he was deeply involved in his local community—supporting his church’s food ministry, which helped supply a food pantry in the Dorchester neighborhood with donations from Whole Foods. He also provided pro bono legal services through the Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Massachusetts Bar Association, offering support to those most in need. 🙌

In addition to his community work, Phil has published 13 articles in The Daily Journal, making complex legal decisions—from vaccine rulings to immigration cases—clear and accessible. He’s currently developing a new piece on the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2025 immigration decisions. 📰

Favorite travel memory? Jerusalem—a city layered with history, faith, conflict, and hope. 🌍

We’re proud to recognize P**l, one of our standout Senior Associates who brings 25 plus years of attorney litigation experience to our practice at LTL ATTORNEYS LLP. While working full-time as a litigation paralegal at AV-rated defense firms, P**l earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School’s night program a testament to his work ethic and drive. Today, we lean on P**l to help manage one of our largest automotive clients through all phases of litigation. His prior experience in product liability and class action work provides our automotive department with the insight and passion that we strive for.

The coolest place P**l has visited is Singapore a city he admires for its rich diversity and vibrant multiculturalism. When he’s not in the courtroom, P**l enjoys collecting vinyl records, digging into classic soundtracks and hidden gems.

We’re excited to spotlight Patice, a valued LTL Attorney whose vibrant heritage, global perspective, and legal insight make her truly one of a kind. Patice handles all phases all of litigation, including acting as trial counsel on a variety of areas of law including employment, commercial and automotive litigation.

Patice has published several articles, including a Daily Journal column titled “Autonomously Arriving,” which explores the legal impact of self-driving vehicles—a timely and forward-thinking topic. Born in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, with roots in Antigua, Patice treasures her Caribbean background. One of her favorite spots is a treehouse in the St. Croix rainforest—captured in a special 2009 photo with her dad.

Her travels have taken her Greek island hopping, through Rome, and to Hawaii, where she flew over a volcano and saw the 1991 total solar eclipse!

At home, she’s a proud dog lover caring for two pups (including a foster).

We’re proud to recognize Attorney Alexandra Jara, who has been with our team for two years—starting as a law clerk and quickly proving herself as a valuable asset to our team. After graduating early from law school, she quickly progressed from law clerk to trusted trial attorney, now managing a demanding caseload of automotive and employment litigation in both state and federal court.

Alexandra is a part of the Mexican American Bar Association, Latina Lawyers Bar Association, Orange County Hispanic Bar Association, Orange County Women Lawyers Association, Orange County Bar Association and Thurgood Marshall Bar Association. The coolest place that Alexandra has visited is the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France because of the twinkling lights at night.

Most importantly, we’re thrilled to congratulate her on the arrival of her beautiful baby girl.
