Did Blake Lively just lose her own case by exaggerating?

A federal judge dismissed 10 of her 13 claims against Justin Baldoni, including ALL of her sexual harassment claims.

Her lawyers say it was a technicality. But the judge’s 152-page ruling tells a very different story.

πŸ’° Most employees have no idea how much their case is actually worth

You are not just suing for what happened
You are suing for your damages

That can include lost wages future earnings and emotional distress

And here is what a lot of people miss

If this situation is affecting your mental health
If you are anxious losing sleep or seeing a therapist

That matters

Your emotional distress is real and documenting it can make a difference

Two people can go through similar situations and have completely different outcomes based on:

Documentation
Consistency
And how long it went on

Waiting too long or having no evidence can significantly impact your case

🚨 A lot of employees are dealing with sexual harassment at work and staying silent

Not because it is not happening
But because they think it is not serious enough to do anything about

They tell themselves it is just jokes
That they are overreacting
That they should just ignore it and move on

So they stay uncomfortable
They laugh it off
They go along with it just to keep the peace

But here is the reality

Sexual harassment is not always obvious
It can be repeated comments
Sexual jokes that do not stop
Or someone constantly crossing boundaries

And under California law it does not have to be one extreme incident
A pattern of behavior can be enough

If it is ongoing
If it is affecting you
You do not have to tolerate it

🀰🏼 Did your job start treating you differently after you said you were pregnant

Suddenly your hours are cut
Your responsibilities change
Or your performance is being questioned when it never was before

That is not something you just have to accept

Pregnancy discrimination in California is illegal and it can show up in subtle ways that make people question themselves

A lot of employees stay quiet because they do not want to make it a big deal or they think nothing can be done

But timing matters
Patterns matter
And your rights matter

If something feels off after you disclose your pregnancy trust that instinct and start documenting everything

If you are being seggsual harassed at work by a coworker and not a supervisor, your employer may still be legally responsible.

In California, employers are liable for seggsual harassment by a nonsupervisor if they knew or should have known about the conduct and failed to take immediate and appropriate corrective action.

This is where many employees unintentionally weaken their own case.

If you never report the harassment, the employer will often argue they had no knowledge and no opportunity to fix the situation.

That is why documentation matters.

Putting your complaint in writing creates notice.
Notice creates a legal duty.
And once that duty is triggered, the employer must investigate, take corrective action, and prevent further harassment.

If they ignore you, minimize it, or allow it to continue, liability becomes much stronger.

You are not overreacting. You are creating a record.

Save this video so you remember this if something ever happens at work, and share it with someone who needs to know their rights.

If you asked for a workplace accommodation in California and your employer ignored you or shut it down, that may be a violation of your rights.

When you disclose a medical condition, disability, pregnancy related limitation, or mental health condition, your employer has a legal duty to engage in a good faith interactive process.

That means they must communicate with you, explore reasonable accommodations, and consider possible adjustments that would allow you to do your job.

They cannot ignore your request.
They cannot automatically deny it.
They cannot refuse to engage in the conversation.

And they cannot retaliate against you for asking.

Here is what many employees do not realize.

Failure to engage in the interactive process is its own violation, even if you were never terminated.

Save this video so you remember this if you ever need to request an accommodation, and share it with someone who may be struggling at work.

Thinking about signing an arbitration agreement at work in California?

Most employees are told it is just standard paperwork. It is not.

An arbitration agreement can require you to resolve your claims privately instead of going to court. That often means:

No jury trial
Limited appeal rights
Private proceedings
And in many cases, no class or representative claims

Many employees sign these without understanding that they may be giving up significant legal rights.

Some arbitration agreements are enforceable. Some are not. But once you sign, the fight often shifts to whether the agreement applies instead of focusing on what actually happened to you.

This is one of the most important documents you will sign during your employment.

Save this video so you remember this before signing anything and share it with someone who just started a new job.

Filing a workplace discrimination complaint in California?

Choosing between the CRD and the EEOC is not just paperwork, it’s strategy.

The CRD (California Civil Rights Department) enforces California law, while the EEOC enforces federal law.

Here’s what most people don’t realize:
California law often provides:
βœ”οΈ Broader protections
βœ”οΈ More covered categories
βœ”οΈ Potentially stronger remedies

But deadlines, procedures, and notices are different, and filing incorrectly or too late can delay your case or limit your claims.

In some situations, your claim may be dual-filed. In others, your legal strategy matters from the very beginning.

This is not something you want to guess about.

Save this video so you don’t make a costly mistake, and share it with someone who may be thinking about filing a workplace claim.
