In Thomson Reuter’s 2020 issue of its annual Super Lawyers publication, it selected LJBLAW’s partners, Nicole Lari-Joni and Torsten Bassell, for the 10th consecutive year in a row. The selection to the elite list coincides with the 10th anniversary of the LJBLAW firm.

Two appellate opinions our firm received in the last 2 months, which affirmed favorable results we obtained at the trial/district court level. The first was an insurance law opinion from the Fourth Appellate District affirming the judgment we obtained in Riverside, which established insurance coverage and full indemnification after an insurer erroneously denied coverage to its policyholder for an accident. The second was a published opinion by the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Ninth Circuit, which affirmed a district bankruptcy court’s order granting our motion to allow our clients to proceed with a state court action against a Chapter 13 debtor. LJBLAW handled all motion and trial work, as well as all appellate briefing, in-house.

If you already have it, consider raising your UM/UIM limits as much as you can afford. Just one day in the hospital or ICU can cost $100,000+, whereas the average driver in California only has a minimal $15,000 in liability coverage to cover your medical bills if they hit you.
