Celebrating my 49th year in The best frat The first frat my frat: Alpha Phi Alpha, Epsilon Mu, San Jose State University 1977. The little brothas of Moshi put they foot in it for The Black n Gold. No matter what happens. No matter what they say or what they do. I got my brothas behind me. Praying for my line brotha Pretty Tony tonight. He’s is in a bad place tonight. But he’s a fighter and he is loved by so many. My line brothas have been there with him and for him. APhiA for life. And I am blessed to have a legacy in The frat. My son Chase has been an Alpha 3 years. My line brothas in The Bay and some of The same brothas that made me, made him. My bloodline continues. And of course I married an AKA, cause honestly, that sh*t was preordained in 1977.

My dad is already dead. He was an Army vet and the recipient of The Purple Heart. He was honored to serve. He loved all the good things about this country. He often said he would have died on The battlefield to protect it. A Thought shared by many of the vets we should be honoring. It is a national shame that we have not done right by our veterans. To all the vets; Thank you for your service. And thank you for your sacrifice. Many a good soldier sailor or marine left a great part of themselves on The battlefield. Their overall health and maybe their mental health too. I want to honor them and praise them and pray for them and thank every last one of them. They endured the worst horrors mankind could throw at them on behalf of a sometimes ungrateful nation. And came home to deal with those horrors and the experience of war alone. We need to do better as a nation. Too many vets sleep on The streets and too many vets are committing su***de. We have to do better as a
nation. We just got to. Empty promises and political speeches don’t cure cancer or help treat mental health problems. it is the height of hypocrisy to call them to duty and to risk their lives on behalf of the nation and to then ignore them when they return home needing our help.
