Because of the adrenalin we feel after a crash it can take hours or even days to fully feel injuries. Make sure to get checked by a doctor to ensure you do not have hidden injuries that need immediate attention, like head trauma, broken bones or internal bleeding.

STEP NO #3: TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEOS

Take pictures of everything and everyone!
- Take pictures of all vehicles involved. Get zoomed out pictures of all 4 sides of each vehicle, not just closeups of the damage.
- If possible, take pictures of the scene BEFORE the vehicles are moved. The location and positions of vehicles after the crash can help resolve liability disputes.
- Take pictures of all the people involved, including passengers and witnesses. Some people deny being at the scene, collect proof!
- Take pictures and videos of the streets, street signs, traffic lights, and surrounding areas to help document location.
- Take pictures of the other driver's ID and Insurance Card. Also ask for their phone number and email address. They might not share their contact information but its worth asking.

STEP NO #2: CALL 911

- Do not assume someone else will call!
- Ambulance and EMTs can help treat at the scene and quickly transport injured to the hospital.
- Officers will help document the exact location of the crash, witnesses, and collect IDs and insurance information of all involved. - If the other driver is under the influence, the officer will be able to test their sobriety before they sober up!
