On this day, International Women’s Day, we must commit ourselves to support legislation to restore Roe v. Wade nationwide and protect access to contraception and medication abortions. Finally, we must continue to battle to pass the Equal Rights amendment to the United States Constitution. “Failure is Impossible.”

Today, August 26, 2023, is Women’s Equality Day. It is the anniversary of the addition of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution (suffrage) in which women finally won the right to vote in the United States. The suffragettes fought for 72 years in order to win the passage of the 19th Amendment. Honor their sacrifices and their courage by making sure that you are registered to vote. Then be sure to vote in the next election!

A new woman (Jane Doe) will speak today, October 26, 2022, at a press conference with her attorney, Gloria Allred, to allege that she had a romantic, intimate relationship with Herschel Walker and that he drove her to an abortion clinic to have an abortion after she became pregnant as a result of her relationship with him.

08.11.22 Beauty Pageant Victory for Women’s Rights! Women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred, Andrea Quiroga (Ms. Allred’s client who challenged the rule), and Veronika Didusenko (Miss Ukraine 2018, who has worked to end the rule), held a press conference on their recent challenge of the discriminatory policy of a rule in many beauty pageants regarding whether a woman has had a child and how it affects her eligibility to be a contestant, and the positive outcome which followed. Press conference today to announce a major victory for women’s rights and to describe how we achieved the change that we were determined to win.

Statement of Attorney Gloria Allred regarding the verdict in Huth v. Cosby

First, we thank the jury for their verdict of compensatory damages that they have awarded our client, Ms. Huth. The verdict is $500,000. Second, we thank our client Judy Huth for her courage and many sacrifices to win justice in this case. We are honored to represent her. Third, I want to thank my partners Nathan Goldberg and John West for being exceptional litigators and trial lawyers in this case, and I want the world to know that I feel blessed that they have both been my law partners for so many decades. Fourth, I want to thank all of the women who spoke out over the years, and refused to be silent in the face of what they believed to be injustice and sexual abuse by powerful men. The late United States Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, once said, “Real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time.”

Today our client, Judy Huth, won real change because she fought Bill Cosby one step at a time over seven and a half years, and she proved with the jury’s verdict that Mr. Cosby did sexually assault her when she was a minor, and that he should be held accountable for what he did to her.

We are proud of Ms. Huth and our victory against Bill Cosby.

The decision today provides new rights and protections for LGBTQ employees and we will use it to help our clients fight for and vindicate their rights in the workplace.
