Recently we have received and and continue to receive calls that someone is calling saying they are from Weissman & Associates and using my name.

This is a scam. Weissman & Associates has not been my firm name since 2001. If tou receive such a call report it and ignore the demands.

Friday, May 31, 2024. one of the "Greatest Generation" was honored as the Military Hero of the Game, at Dodgers Stadium. It was Richard Burns, my father-in-law.

I was honored to es**rt him to the field for the National Anthem, where he stood with a dozen or so other service people. I watched as he was shown on the outfield screen, his biography (appropriately written by daughters, Bonnie, Cathy and Sandra), was announced over the stadium public address system. The standing ovation he received will not be forgotten. What was as stirring were the number of people that stopped him to thank him for his service.

A great day for Dick. Thank you to the Dodgers and to all the people present that recognized the sacrifices of all veterans and for expressing their wishes to him.

Yesterday was an interesting day. Spent it in Sacramento with Geovanny Ragsdale, the CEO for the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley. The Club was selected by Assemblyman Jesse Gabriel, as the NON-PROFIT OF THE YEAR for his District.

We had our picture taken on the Assembly floor with the Assemlyman and attended a luncheon with the other non-profits honored by legislators. A thank you to Assemblyman Gabriel's staff in Sacramento. A special thank you to Clarissa Gomez, his local Field Representative, who accompanied us and guided us through the day.

A whirlwind day. Most proud for the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley as the honoree and proud to be associated with the Club.

Fun Saturday. Visited Discovery Cube (at Hansen Dam) Saturday with grandkids Eloise, Holden and Paxton. Outside was a fun exhibit of trucks (trash, recycle) a police car and metro bus. The kids climbed all over them. hit the siren in the police car honked the horns on everything else.

At the other end of the area I found Sarah Horvath and a truck from Galpin Motors. The kids could paint all over the truck, which they did. Thank you Sarah.

Sunday evening was a little adult time. Saw the closing performance of Chicago at the Pantageas. A great production. Extremely entertaining!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I celebrate the day but ignore any number attached to it. Quoting Satchel Page: "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you was?" Answer: Not as old as I am, that's for sure!
