Beginning In law school, she worked as a research assistant with two prominent family law attorneys who were writing a treatise on the subject. By 1986, Roberta had read family law statutes and cases from all 50 states, completed work on Marriage And Family Law Agreements (1984) and Dissolution of Marriage (1986) published by Shepard’s/ McGraw-Hill, and was licensed to practice law in D.C., Maryl
and and Virginia. Roberta was in the first graduating class of family law mediators trained for the D.C. Superior Court Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Service, at the time an “experimental” program with the American Bar Association. In 1988, she moved to Los Angeles, and after passing another bar exam and trying out other types of civil litigation, opened her own family law practice in 1994. Roberta has been positively rated by her peers. She has had an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell since 1986, and has been named a “Super Lawyer” in Southern California for the last 5 years. But more important to her is the ratings she receives from her clients. Roberta handles every case personally, with high standards and pride in her work. Her goal is to get the best possible results for those who hire her, at a reasonable cost, while supporting them through what is usually a difficult time of life.
