DHS notice of designation of Ukraine for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, effective 4/19/22 through 10/19/23. This designation allows eligible Ukrainian nationals (and individuals having no nationality who last habitually resided in Ukraine) who have continuously resided in the United States since 4/11/22, and who have been continuously physically present in the United States since 4/19/22, to apply for TPS. District Court Grants Preliminary Injunction in Third Country Transit Ban Litigation

Yesterday, a district court granted a preliminary injunction preventing the government from implementing the Third Country Transit Ban final rule and ordering the return to the pre-final rule practices for processing asylum applications.

President Biden Removed the Muslim Ban, Froze Removals for 100 days, and Reinstated DACA. He is going to also implement path to citizenship for certain qualified undocumented aliens. In order to take advantage, anticipated factors will include your compliance in paying your taxes, having a clean criminal background and being a productive member in society. I strongly recommend you to pay your taxes, take care of your criminal background (if you have any) and get all the discretionary documents lined up for any new developments.

For Our Turkish Clients, please be advised that all consular appointments have been suspended.

Event: The U.S. Mission in Turkey has received credible reports of potential terrorist attacks and kidnappings against U.S. citizens and foreign nationals in Istanbul, including against the U.S. Consulate General, as well as potentially other locations in Turkey. U.S. citizens are advised to exercise heightened caution in locations where Americans or foreigners may gather, including large office buildings or shopping malls.

All American Citizen and visa services at U.S. Mission in Turkey’s facilities (including U.S. Embassy-Ankara, U.S. Consulate General-Istanbul, U.S. Consulate-Adana, and the U.S. Consular Agency-Izmir) will be temporarily suspended. Individuals with scheduled appointments will be notified by email with instructions on how to reschedule their appointments.

In response to significant worldwide challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of State is temporarily suspending routine visa services at all U.S. Embassies and Consulates. Embassies and consulates will cancel all routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments as of March 20, 2020. As resources allow, embassies and consulates will continue to provide urgent and emergency visa services. Our overseas missions will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.
