In Los Angeles, Metro buses on certain lines use camera evidence that LADOT reviews before a citation is issued.
On the current program routes, LADOT says the starting penalty is $293.
That isn't a statewide fine, so always check the posted lane signs, hours, and markings where you are.
If you need to grab someone or stop for a minute, find a legal curb or parking space.
A shortcut can turn into a costly piece of mail.
