I work with attorneys and paralegals to help make the defense medical exam process as smooth and stress-free as possible. While I prefer at least three to four business days’ notice to coordinate a legal nurse consultant, I understand that urgent situations come up. Today I had my second ever federal rule 35 examination, and basically in this type of exam my hands are tied, when it comes to objecting to anything, and even recording the audio. I also explain at the end why it’s considered a federal case as opposed to a regular Personal injury case 🙋🏽‍♂️

This happened to me today, and the point of this video is that we need to be flexible, adaptable, and it’s very very important that you have a form to communicate with the law firm which hired you, at least paralegal or the legal secretary, and/or the actual attorney.
