What a beautiful morning of sunshine, friendship, and community!

Our family and Chad F. Newman Law were proud to participate in the East Texas Down Syndrome Group’s annual Buddy Walk as members of Austin’s Amigos, celebrating our dear friend and team captain, Austin! 💙💛

We’re grateful for Austin, his wonderful family, and the opportunity to support an organization that does so much to promote inclusion, acceptance, and opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today such a special occasion. We’re already looking forward to next year!

A timely reminder that unity does not require unanimity. Our constitutional system asks us to work across differences, build coalitions, and choose peacemaking as the path toward freedom, fairness, and a more perfect union. ⚖️🏘️

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Today, as our nation celebrates its **250th year**, we remember not only the courage of those who declared our independence, but also the enduring ideals that continue to challenge and inspire each generation.

The Declaration of Independence proclaims:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Those words have shaped our nation's history for two and a half centuries. We continually strive more faithfully toward those timeless principles.

Today, I'm grateful for the freedoms we enjoy, for those who have sacrificed to preserve them, and for the privilege of helping others seek justice under the rule of law.

May we celebrate this Independence Day with gratitude, humility, and renewed determination to leave our country stronger for the generations that follow.
