However, I would not settle for anything other than the perfect location to raise my young son in. Driving into Boulder that hot August day was love at first sight. I knew instantly I had found our new home. Almost 30 years later the bond with this area remains. Through the years I have become intimately familiar with the Front Range, its school districts and communities. Since 2008 I have owned investment properties throughout Colorado and Utah. The process of acquiring these and deciding which to buy or sell gave me my first real glimpse into the business of real estate. This experience also made me aware of market trends, the pros and cons of different housing options and general hands on education of what people are looking for in their housing needs as well as what to watch out for when making such an important purchase. This knowledge made it an easy and fun transition into real estate in 2014. I have also found the same enjoyment connecting with my real estate clients as I had my tenants and pride myself for the excellent prompt service and dedicated attention I provide to them all. So happy for my Seller who is now ready to embark on her next adventure: She has had a dream to hike the Continental Divide Trail (3023 miles!!!!) once she retired. So now she is off to live her best van life preparing herself to hike the CDT next year (at the age of 70!). Michelle, you are truly an inspiration. Congratulations on all of it!

Have you just received your home valuation card from your county and disagree with your home value assessment?
Home and property owners in Colorado who believe their property has been overvalued for tax purposes have the option to appeal their property valuation.

The deadline to file an appeal is June 8th.

The process can be as simple as only filling out the appeals form with their county's assessor's office or can be more in depth with homeowners providing documentation to support their case.

Some tips for homeowners include doing research on comparable properties in the area and presenting a clear, concise argument during the appeals process. Please reach out to me if you would like me to put together a comparable report for your property of recently sold homes in your area.
