So happy for my Seller who is now ready to embark on her next adventure: She has had a dream to hike the Continental Divide Trail (3023 miles!!!!) once she retired. Have you just received your home valuation card from your county and disagree with your home value assessment?
Home and property owners in Colorado who believe their property has been overvalued for tax purposes have the option to appeal their property valuation.

The deadline to file an appeal is June 8th.

The process can be as simple as only filling out the appeals form with their county's assessor's office or can be more in depth with homeowners providing documentation to support their case.

Some tips for homeowners include doing research on comparable properties in the area and presenting a clear, concise argument during the appeals process. Please reach out to me if you would like me to put together a comparable report for your property of recently sold homes in your area.
