Welcome to the JWL International team, Marli Wilken!

Marli brings extensive experience in client relationship management, estate administration, trust operations and fiduciary compliance. Before relocating to the United States, she served as a Fiduciary Advisor with a prominent Trust & Wealth Group in South Africa, where she was one of a select group of authorized Estate Administrators and Executors. She administered more than 400 deceased estates, managed multimillion-dollar client funds and assets, and helped grow a new fiduciary office into a successful business unit.

Pierre brings more than 25 years of legal experience from South Africa. He led a high-volume private practice for over two decades, handling civil litigation, contract law, dispute resolution and commercial compliance. He later served as in-house legal officer for construction, transport and equipment hire operations, where he drafted, reviewed and negotiated commercial agreements and advised executive leadership on risk and regulatory matters.

Equipment rental continues to expand, particularly in specialty equipment and mega-projects. Telematics enhancements (including enhanced utilization tracking) appear to be a big driver as well.

Here are some interesting statistics:

Large Companies:
* Herc expects $1.25 billion and $1.4 billion in equipment purchases for 2026.
* United is anticipating roughly $4.85 billion to $5.25 billion this year.
* Sunbelt expects $2.45 billion to $2.85 billion in fiscal 2027.

Specialty Areas:
* Sunbelt had 15.1% growth in N. American specialty rental revenue led by power & HVAC.
* United's Q2 2026 specialty equipment rental revenue increased by 24.8% over Q2 2025.

Overall in N. America:
* The ARA's latest forecast is $83.5 billion for U.S. construction, industrial and GT for 2026 (up 3.4% from 2025).
* Its forecast for 2027 accelerates to 4.4% growth and 5.1% for 2028.
