I was raised in London, Kentucky, the youngest of three children to working class parents. After graduating high school in 1985, I attended Eastern Kentucky University and graduated with honors with a bachelor's degree in Paralegal Science in 1989. After working for a time as a litigation and real estate paralegal, I attended law school at the University of Louisville graduating with honors from U
of L in 1996. I was ranked number 6 in my graduating class at U of L and served as a member on the Family Law Journal. My first job after graduating law school was in Hazard, Kentucky where I practiced in civil litigation in numerous eastern Kentucky counties. I then relocated to my hometown of London and started my solo practice in 1999. I have jury trial experience in both Federal and State Courts. I previously served as a Child Advocate and Administrative Law Judge with the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice. I have taught college courses at E.K.U. Somerset Community College. My practice is not restricted to any area of law but does include family law, criminal, car wreck, and wrongful death cases. I also prepare deeds and wills and handle any probate matters. I do not charge an initial consultation fee. I am a mother of two boys, ages 5 and 8. I strive to be honest with people in my practice providing them a realistic view of their case. I strive to provide my clients with robust representation with empathy for their causes and issues. My staff are friendly and helpful.
