Benge and I am running for a newly created Family Court Judgeship for Laurel and Knox counties. This second Judgeship position was created by the Kentucky legislature in April of 2022 and I will NOT be running against any incumbent judge. The election date is Tuesday, November 8, 2022. I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1990 and a Juris Doctor i

n 1993. I have been a licensed attorney since 1993 and during the past 29 years, after leaving my clerkship for Justice Joseph Lambert with the Supreme Court of Kentucky, I opened my office in London. I have practiced in dozens of Kentucky's counties, in federal courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and at all levels of state court including the Supreme Court of Kentucky. While I consider myself a general practitioner of law, over 50% of my work has focused on Family Law issues including over 4500 cases in Laurel and Knox counties alone, involving divorce, custody, adoption, child support, and juvenile matters.

I just returned from a weeks worth of fellowship and training at the KBA annual convention in Owensboro. After 29 years of practicing, it amazes me how we attorneys can still learn new ways of approaching problems.

What a privilege that 27 counties of attorneys have trusted me to represent them on the Board of Governors.

From where I was 7 years ago, what an honor to stand and raise my right hand before the Chief Justice and formally take my oath.
