American Legion - Vandenberg Post 125

American Legion - Vandenberg Post 125 We had no Post Home at the time, so the first meetings were held in the garage of one of its Charter Members in Vandenberg Village.

Military - Active Duty, Retired, Disabled, POW, MIA and Killed in Service and their Families

The American Legion is the nationโ€™s largest, most influential, effective and dependable wartime veterans service organization. Since our very first caucus in Paris, France in 1919, The American Legion has a vision for a Strong America which includes four pillars of service: Veteran Affairs & Rehabilitatio

n, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. The American Legion is a powerful force in our nation.
Vandenberg Post 125 is located in Lompoc, CA and was chartered by The American Legion on October 20th, 1972 with 85 Charter Members. The original charter of our Post is framed and hangs on the wall in our Post Club Room. It lists the names of our charter members. Our Post is over 225 members strong and growing. The Post is an integral part of the greater Lompoc, Vandenberg Village, and Mission Hills community and a proud advocate for veterans on the local, state, and national level. Our membership extends beyond the borders of the local community to include overseas members.

It is with deep respect and sincere sadness that we announce the passing of Fred L. Good, who entered Post Everlasting on January 7, 2026.

Fred was a faithful member of our American Legion family since February 2004, and he proudly served in the United States Air Force, alongside our Past Commander Joe McCormick.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Eloise, who passed on February 10, 2018. They shared 53 years together.

Please keep the Good family in your thoughts and prayers.

Rest in peace, Fred. You are remembered, and you are not forgotten.
