Downtown Littleton keeps finding new ways to make Main Street even more special, and this one is pretty exciting.
The Littleton Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) just announced its first-ever Call for Artists as part of a new public art initiative, the selected artist will create a large-scale mural right in the heart of Main Street.
The mural will be installed on the west-facing wall of the Playa Bowls building at 2490 Main Street, a highly visible spot surrounded by restaurants, shops, and community events.
The design will draw inspiration from Downtown Littleton’s history, including the electric trolley line that once ran along Main Street in the early 1900s.
Project Highlights:
• Mural Size: ~2,420 sq ft
• Commission: Up to $20,000
• Open to artists nationwide
• Application Deadline: March 20, 2026
• Installation completed ahead of the Downtown Littleton Block Party in June
Public art has such a powerful way of shaping a place’s identity, and I love seeing continued investment in making Downtown Littleton even more vibrant.
If you’re an artist, or know one who might be a great fit, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the evolving story of Downtown Littleton.
