Glad I am back at work after long battle with COVID. I entered hospital on July 2, 2021. I spent 10+ days on ventilator. When I came around, I was informed they did not believe I would survive. Also, the medicine caused blood clots in my extremities and lungs. This caused me to have my leg amputated.

I survived and was back to work in September (albeit only an hour or so per day). I finally got my first "permanent" leg today and I am finally at work full time (13+ hours a day).

I want to thank all of my family and friends. At the top are my wife and sons (and their wives). Zach Ables came by the hospital every day for over a month to feed me. Because of the ventilator, I was basically completely paralyzed for 3+ weeks. He, as well as Joshua Ables and Noah Ables, wheeled me around in my wheel chair to make sure I was able to go fishing and trips. Zach Ables also came to office and helped me work as he is working on his paralegal license and possible legal career. I am so thankful for Joshua Ables, Noah Ables, Brianna Ables, Jacey Ables, Kayla Sue Ables and most importantly Heather Ables.

Side note: Any family and friends I did not mention, realize I love you all and never intended to leave you out. I appreciate you all.

Finally for the law stuff. I realized I practice Trust/probate law and was not prepared for my life to end. Realize that today is all you are promised and get everything in order for things like this. I now have my estate set up to make sure my wishes are followed in the event my life is cut short.
