Delta Air Lines opened the application window for its 2027 flight attendant hiring classes on Monday, June 1, 2026.
The Atlanta-based carrier is hiring for two types of positions: English-speaking flight attendants and bilingual flight attendants, internally known as Language of Destination (LOD) roles.
To qualify, applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and hold a valid passport with at least 30 months of validity remaining at the start of training. Flight attendants must also be willing to work overnights, weekends, holidays, and irregular hours, on both domestic and international routes.
Bilingual applicants must be fluent in English plus a second language. They must be able to speak, read, and write the language and pass a third-party proficiency test.
All new hires complete six weeks of paid, in-residence training at Delta's World Headquarters in Atlanta. Training covers FAA safety procedures, emergency evacuations, first aid and CPR, service standards, and aircraft-specific equipment.
Delta has noted that response times and portal speeds may be slower than usual due to the high volume of applications expected.
