PLEASE NOTE
UPDATED
The county has moved to the “red” travel status and matters will not be improved significantly by morning. Commissioner Abrams stated that Greene County Government offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, and January 27, 2026, other than those offices and departments that provide emergency services and services critical to restoration of county business as usual.

Stay home and be safe! Tomorrow, if you have a court date or appointment, call ahead and make sure they are open.

As many already know, the tornado that struck on 12-28-25 damaged our location, as well as many others in the downtown area.

We are going to be operating in a temporary location. Our location will be at the office of:
R. Randall Baker
409 NW A Street
Linton, IN

We will offer office services BY APPOINTMENT ONLY until further notice. We will be scheduling appointments by telephone or via Zoom.
Again, we are NOT taking walk-in clients at this time.

In the event that your services require in person meetings, such as signing of, or reviewing, documents, we will setup a time and place with you to accommodate.

You can continue to send emails, call and leave messages, or text with us if you are on our text service.

Thank you to the community, our friends, and families, related by blood and choice, that have come through for us during this series of events.

Sincerely,
Tim

Today's helpful hints, keep a copy of your current orders or information with you. Those paper could be for parenting, driving privileges, and any other helpful information to describe your situation to a police officer, doctor, or other party that may not be familiar with your situation.- but needs to assist you.

For Example:
You have the kids on vacation and one of them is ill. Can you take him to the hospital? Are you the custodial parent? Are you sharing custody? Who is the decision maker?

Things to consider.

Helpful advice

Do not post the details of your case whether civil or criminal on social media. The police and other groups mine information from social media and retain it.

You have a right to remain silent.

You can vent and raise awareness.

Please don’t confess to getting in a bar fight or talk trash about an ex and their current partner.

Have a good week!
