Lots of good results this month: 4 DUI suspensions rescinded, one DUI client found Not Guilty, two other cases dropped by prosecutors, and a client with a revoked license was granted a driving permit. Three other clients charged with felony criminal cases were offered deferred prosecution or special probation that will result in dismissal of the case if successfully completed.

SCAM ALERT:

The Niles Police Department is warning residents about a fraudulent “Notice of Hearing – Traffic Violation” letter currently circulating.

These documents may appear official and reference Cook County courts, but they are NOT legitimate. They often include threats of fines, court action, or penalties to pressure you into making a payment or scanning a QR code.

Red Flags to Watch For:
• Unexpected traffic or toll violations you are unaware of
• Requests for immediate payment to avoid penalties
• QR codes or suspicious links

What You Should Do:
• Do NOT scan the QR code or send payment
• Do NOT provide personal or financial information
• Verify any violations directly through official court or municipal websites
• Report the incident to the Niles Police Department

19th Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois' Mundelein Brach Court will be temporarily closed on Monday, December 15th for facility maintenance. Court operations at this location will resume on Tuesday, December 16th. No other Court facilities will be impacted.
