My office officially closed on March 31. What a great adventure it has been. My team and I marked the occasion with a celebratory lunch at The Green Gateau. My former paralegal, Joan Tumbleson, surprised me with a sketched portrait. Family, friends, colleagues, office neighbors, and clients have wished me well as I set out on my next adventure. The day after I closed my doors, I won a raffle with adventure supplies from Cornhusker Bank. I am ready for my next adventure, and my heart is full from all the kindness bestowed upon me. Thank you all!

A big thank you to our office neighbors, Cornhusker Bank, who hosted a potluck to bid us farewell. We have enjoyed our office neighbors, who have treated us like family; the same kindness and compassion is shown to their customers. Great people = great bank. We will miss seeing you every day.

The candy count results are in. The jar contained 306 candies. Lori M, with a guess of 306, is the FB winner, and Sam H, with Cornhusker Bank, is the on-site winner with a guess of 279. Congratulations! Prizes are on their way.

The 2025 Halloween candy count contest has begun. It will run through Wednesday, October 29th. The person coming closest to calculating the number of candies in the jar will win a fabulous prize. Why I marched in the No Kings Protest: As an attorney, I took an oath, and I aim to stay true to my word. I swore I would "... support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Nebraska, against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; ..."

It is the right thing to do, and the Nebraskan thing to do.
