The Nebraska Mediation Association held their annual meeting last week. It was a great turnout and The Mediation Center's Casey Karges and Sovida Tran participated on a panel where each participant shared about a particular area of mediation and answer questions from the members.

Last week, UNL College of Law wrapped up the Family Mediation class. This class satisfies ODR's requirement for Parenting Act mediators and is taught by Prof. Kristen Blankley, with guest presentations from Sovida Tran and Melanie Kirk. Students learn about Nebraska's Parenting Act, how to work with parties to create parenting plans, and unique issues present in family mediations. TMC mediators coached students during the role play exercises, providing feedback and examples from their own experiences.

Yesterday, Casey and Sovida had the honor of presenting "Managing Workplace Conflicts" to the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).

While much of what we do at TMC involves working with individuals on their unique cases, we do work with other organizations to "do Conflict better."
