The Man. The Myth. The Living Legend. Freddie Cruz.

Freddie is an award winning partner at the Law Offices of Wunsch and Cruz, but his story goes well beyond the courtroom.

Before becoming an attorney, Freddie served in the United States Army as a Forward Observer with the 82nd Airborne Division, completing multiple combat tours. Today, he brings that same commitment to service to his legal career, representing clients in Personal Injury, Civil, Criminal, Family, and Business Law matters at both the state and federal levels.

Freddie is also deeply committed to giving back. From supporting fellow veterans to participating in community events, back-to-school drives, homeless outreach, and neighborhood cleanups, service has remained a constant throughout his life.

We’re proud to have him as a partner, advocate, veteran, and pretty decent guy to have around the office.

Katherine has been the subject of quite a few 5-star reviews lately, so we thought it was time you got to know her a little better.

Katherine joined the Law Offices of Wunsch and Cruz as an Associate Attorney after graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Law and becoming licensed to practice in North Carolina in 2025. Before law school, she attended North Carolina State University, where she earned a degree in biomedical engineering.

Outside of the office, Katherine enjoys playing video games, watching horror movies, and spending time with her cats, Squall and Zephyr.

Alex is the Business Administrator at The Law Offices of Wunsch and Cruz and plays a key role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From managing the firm’s day-to-day non-legal operations to helping keep the team organized and connected, Alex is truly one of the people who helps hold it all together. Her work allows our attorneys and staff to stay focused on serving our clients while making sure the business side of the firm keeps moving forward.

Alexandria Loeffler joined the Law Offices of Wunsch and Cruz in 2024 as a client relations specialist. She previously worked at a law firm in Florida as a legal assistant in the area of personal injury, where she helped the litigation team with medical records and billing.

Alexandria spent a year in legal studies at Indian River State College. She has always had a passion for the law and gets deep satisfaction from helping others navigate its complexities. Outside of work, her time revolves around cherished moments with her family, tending to her chickens, and diving into a good book.

Meet Jody Lynn Mendoza

Jody Lynn Mendoza joined the Law Offices of Wunsch and Cruz in 2025 as a client relations specialist. She previously worked at the Harnett County Clerk’s Office as the Domestic Violence intake clerk, where she served the public by helping with Domestic Violence filings.

She has her Associates of Science in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management and Supervision; she attended Palm Beach State in Florida. When she is not working, she enjoys time with her kids and bearded dragons.

Jody is a vital member of our team and often the first person you will speak with when contacting our firm. She takes the time to listen, understand your situation, and connect you with the attorney best suited to help.
