I have served as lead counsel on several matrimonial/family law cases litigated in counties such as Cook, Lake, McHenry and DuPage. Although the majority of my practice is in domestic relations, I am also versed in residential real estate transactions, evictions/forcible detainers, Chapter 7 bankruptcies and minor criminal/traffic infractions. n name, Amy Ho. I also volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the judicial system due to abuse and neglect. I am appointed by a Juvenile Court Judge to be the eyes and ears of the Court. As a CASA, I submit reports and make recommendations that I believe are in the best interest of the children, as well as attend and participate in court hearings. I also currently serve on CASA of Lake County's Board of Young Professionals.

In memory of my parents, I am donating this year to Catholic Charities.

In 1979, we immigrated from Taiwan to the United States. My parents believed in the promise of this country. The land of opportunity, however, was also the land of unfamiliar faces, language and customs. Yet through it all, we were fine as long as we were together. Family was the foundation that carried us forward.

This commitment to family became reality for my husband at the age of 9. He was adopted through Catholic Charities after years in orphanages and foster care. His adoption by the Blesses was a profound expression of compassion, stability and hope.

It is with deep gratitude that I support Catholic Charities in honor of my parents’ legacy and the enduring belief that family, in all its forms, changes lives.
