Amy Ho, Ltd. Real Estate and Family lawyer in the Lake County, IL area. I am an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.

I have served as lead counsel on several matrimonial/family law cases litigated in counties such as Cook, Lake, McHenry and DuPage. Although the majority of my practice is in domestic relations, I am also versed in residential real estate transactions, evictions/forcible detainers, Chapter 7 bankruptcies and minor criminal/traffic infractions. I continue to maintain and practice law under my maiden name, Amy Ho. I also volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the judicial system due to abuse and neglect. I am appointed by a Juvenile Court Judge to be the eyes and ears of the Court. As a CASA, I submit reports and make recommendations that I believe are in the best interest of the children, as well as attend and participate in court hearings. I also currently serve on CASA of Lake County's Board of Young Professionals.

25 years ago today, I was in Professor Henke’s property class. It was my 1st year of law school.

I moved from New Jersey only a couple of weeks prior. The world I knew all lived and/or worked in the NJ/NY area. I’ve never felt more helpless watching the towers collapse a thousand miles away. This was America’s darkest day in my lifetime.

Paused today to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. Thank you Village of Libertyville for the memorial ceremony.
