This is one of those maintenance tasks nobody tells you about, and nobody does. But it is 15 minutes of work, and it can shave real money off your electric bill.

Refrigerators are the third biggest energy drain in most homes. When the coils get coated in dust, the compressor runs harder and longer. Over a year, that adds up to hundreds of dollars of wasted electricity and a shorter fridge lifespan.
While you are back there, check the door seal. Close the door on a dollar bill. If you can pull the bill out easily, your seal is leaking cold air, and it is time to replace it.

BIG THINGS ARE COMING TO THE TRIAD!

JetZero broke ground on its $4.7 billion manufacturing campus at Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) today. Company officials and leaders from throughout the state—including Governor Josh Stein and Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines—were on hand to witness the groundbreaking.

“Once we visited this place, I think we all kind of knew,” JetZero’s co-founder and CEO Tom O’Leary said today of why our area was chosen. “We’re looking to build an impressive home and not simply a factory, but a headquarters, and not simply a headquarters, but a global epicenter for the future of aviation.”

It's a “big step” for Jet Zero, and it's a big deal for the Piedmont Triad (and state). It’s the largest state-level incentive package for a start-up in N.C. history; JetZero will relocate its primary headquarters from California to Greensboro; the campus will cover more than 600 acres and will include an 8-million-square-foot facility; and this endeavor is set to create 14,500 jobs during the next decade (with an average salary of roughly $89,340). The economic impact is expected to reach $250 billion.
