Honored to know this man! I belive that Chief Tommy Wright was placed in Pleasant Hill Missouri Police when he was as part of Gods greater plan. In the relatively short amount of time that he was here in our community. The impacts and positive changes will be felt for years to come. On this day we honor such men as this to the ones who didn’t make it home⭐️

He stood 5'6" and weighed 132 pounds. But when Sergeant Major Dan Daly turned to face his Marines at Belleau Wood and shouted those immortal words, every man behind him charged straight into German machine gun fire without hesitation. 🔥

Dan Daly is one of only TWO Marines in history to receive the Medal of Honor TWICE: once in China during the Boxer Rebellion in 1900, and again in Haiti in 1915. General John "Black Jack" Pershing once called him "the outstanding Marine of all time." When offered a commission as an officer, Daly reportedly said he'd rather be an outstanding sergeant than a poor officer.

At Belleau Wood in June 1918, Daly didn't lead from the rear. He led from the front, the way Marines always have. Drop a OORAH if you respect this legend. Tag a Marine who knows this name.

“The men and women of the Raymore Police Department consider it an honor and privilege to receive the second annual designation as a Blue Shield community,” Raymore Police Chief Jim Wilson said.

Raymore received official word from the Missouri Department of Public Safety on Friday, May 15, 2026, that we have earned the Missouri Blue Shield designation for 2026. This honor recognizes Missouri communities that demonstrate their commitment to enhancing public safety, investing in and supporting law enforcement and building partnerships between law enforcement and our community. Raymore was also recognized with a Blue Shield designation in 2025.
