Just a reminder to all residential landlords out there - if you rent properties in NJ, you are REQUIRED to register each property and as a landlord with either your town, if you own properties with 1 or 2 units, or with the Division of Consumer Affairs for properties with 3 or more units.

If you ever need to evict a tenant, you need to have this. Worse, if you don't, you could face significant fines.

There are very few exceptions to this rule. So if you are a residential landlord or investing in residential real estate, make sure your properties are registered.

UPDATES: At this time last year, we announced the name change of the firm to Wenarsk & Goldstein following on Jack Wenarsky joining the firm and bringing his 40 year estate and business planning practice. Today, as we end the year, more positive growth! Jenee Ciccarelli became of counsel to the firm over the summer and, as of January 1, will be joining us full time as Senior Counsel. Jenee is a phenomenally talented attorney and a really great person. She brings 15 years of litigation, bankruptcy and other legal experience to the practice. Jack Wenarsky retired at the end of June and, at last report is busy rediscovering what to do with free time!
