Relationship Status: It's Complicated

Facebook is facing a pair of anti-trust lawsuits filed by the Federal Trade Commission and 48 other state Attorneys General claiming that their purchase of former competition in Instagram and What's App has created an environment that chokes out potential competition.

Recently the United States Justice Department, along with Georgia and other states, filed a lawsuit against Google claiming that they are operating as a monopoly - meaning that Google's practices are harming the consumer by choking out potential competition.

One of Powell & Edwards newest clerks, Rob Poston, penned an explanation of what exactly Google is being sued for and how that could cause the other "Big Tech" companies such as Apple, Amazon, and Facebook to re-evaluate their business offerings aimed at an increasingly reliant client base.
