Our team will be spending Memorial Day remembering and honoring those who have served.

We're grateful to live and work in a community like Lawrence, and deeply thankful to the fallen soldiers whose sacrifice made days like today possible.

What are all those blue pinwheels around town?

April is child abuse prevention month. The pinwheels represent childlike whimsy and lightheartedness and the vision for a world where all children grow up happy, healthy and prepared to succeed in supportive families and communities.

If you look in our window, you will see a blue pinwheel year round.

The passing of Justice Wilson is a big loss for the Kansas legal community. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

We were saddened to learn that former Justice Evelyn Wilson passed today. Chief Justice Eric Rosen, speaking on behalf of the Kansas Supreme Court, released a statement this evening.

Wilson served on the Supreme Court from January 2020 to July 2025. That was after serving as district judge and chief judge in the 3rd Judicial District between 2004 and 2019.
