Medical Legal Experts has been complying with DWC Guidelines allowing Telehealth QME exams. The physicians are becoming increasingly competent and creative in getting the information they need to do an effective QME exam via video-conference. Interpreters can easily be added to the conference as needed.
Unfortunately, only a small percentage of cases are able to be done via Telemhealth, as it is difficult getting agreement from many of the attorneys. The work comp backlog will be addressed much more effectively with the more attorneys agreeing to Telehealth QME exams.
