Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada

Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada Provider of free civil legal services to low-income Southern Nevadans

We are the primary legal safety net that changes the lives of low-income, vulnerable people in our community every day. Since 1958, our organization has represented low-income individuals in Clark County with civil legal matters such as domestic violence, fraud against the elderly, representing youth in the child welfare system, and defending working people against scams and financial predators. W

e become the voice for those who cannot speak for themselves in important legal matters that affect their well-being, their future, and even their ability to survive. The cases accepted are based on merit and highest need—victims of domestic violence, children, the elderly, victims of financial predators, active military, and veterans.

After being discharged from the military due to unexpected illness, a young man struggled with managing student and medical loans, eventually succumbing to overwhelming debt. One of our pro bono attorneys, Larry Rouse, helped secure a financial reset for this young man, who can continue to build a life he feels confident in.

Larry has volunteered with Legal Aid Center since 1993, taking on some of our most contentious bankruptcy cases. He's a longstanding pillar of the pro bono community and a fervent supporter of our mission to expand access to justice. We're honored to celebrate Larry as our latest Volunteer of the Month!
