We are deeply saddened by the passing of the Honorable Jackie Glass. Judge Glass was a strong and respected leader in our legal community, whose years of service on the Eighth Judicial District Court left a lasting impact on justice in Southern Nevada.

Her dedication, integrity, and warmth will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing or working with her. Our hearts go out to all of her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Legal Aid Center has been announced as an on-campus partner of Campus for Hope, an all-in-one complex that will tackle the root causes of homelessness in Southern Nevada. We're honored to be part of this incredible resource for our community and we look forward to connecting residents with essential legal services to heal, grow, and move toward long-term stability.

It's attorneys like Marina Dalia-Hunt, Team Chief of our Education Advocacy Program, who make Legal Aid Center a refuge for the most vulnerable. She was the driving force behind our recent $1.5 million settlement with Clark County School District (CCSD) on behalf of 23 foster children with dyslexia.

Our staff assisted 50,668 individuals at the Family Law Self-Help Center between January and June 2026! That's the highest mid-year number we've ever reported for this legal emergency room inside the Family Courts and Services Center (601 N Pecos Rd).

It was an honor to speak with students in the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV's Justice Michael Douglas Prelaw Fellowship Program this summer.

Giovanni Alonso, Dewey Fowler, Michael Wendlberger, and Genevieve Galman spoke on a panel all about job opportunities in public interest law. We wish all the fellows the best of luck during their law school journey!
