"I was blessed to become self-employed as of January of this year. Well, last week, I received two medical bills in the mail from doctor's offices from procedures our family had done through our old health insurance plan - the one I used to carry when I was employed - and these bills were now coming back because that insurance was denying coverage (dating back to years ago)! These bills total over $1100.00! Of course, the letters came with threats of turning me over to collections if I did not pay up. I called LegalShield and I just spoke with my attorney, who will be writing THREE letters on my behalf to resolve the issue: one to each doctor's office, and the other to my old insurance company! Mind you, I'm paying nothing extra out-of-pocket; talking with my attorney, having these letters written, and best of all...having the peace of mind knowing this will be taken care of properly is just all part of my low monthly membership. How many people would have just paid the bills or tried to fight this out on their own? Not me ... I know I have rights and I know how to exercise them now!"
