Last month, Brett Carter hit the trails at Trail Trashed, a trail running event hosted by Nevada-based Triple Dare Running.

Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month means something different when you represent injured riders or their families, for serious injuries and deaths for a living.

Nevada is home to one of the largest riding communities in the country. Year-round riding weather, open highways, strong riding cultures mean motorcycles are not just occasional vehicles on our roads, they are part of everyday traffic.

The motorcycle cases we handle at Carter Cullen were not caused by the rider. They were caused by drivers who did not look, did not yield, or did not give enough space.

If you drive in Nevada, this month is a reminder:
✔️Check your mirrors and turn your head before changing lanes. Motorcycles disappear in blind spots.
✔️Increase your following distance. Motorcycles stop faster than you expect.
✔️At intersections, look twice before turning left.
✔️Give riders the full lane, not half of it.
