Day 2 - 3
After leaving Gridley we headed north for Medford, Oregon. On our way we stopped and picnicked at a little waterfall. The drive through Northern California and up Oregon was so beautiful, volcanoes, lakes, and forests.
When we reached Medford we relaxed while the littles swam. The next day was Father’s Day. We stopped by the Medford Temple and continued our drive to Portland. We were able to visit and stay with Frediee’s mission and our good college friends, Marco and Megan. We ate, caught up, and explored their beautiful town.

Day 1-2
We left Vegas and headed to Gridley to visit my Mom, my brothers Andrew and Blane, and sister-in-law Lena. Andrew is a new man these days, full of energy, and played endless with the kids. We enjoyed an evening out with the adults and were able to drive by and check out the Yuba City Temple. Frediee can’t ever leave Gridley without a good adjustment from Blane, and Blane also treated us to his yummy homemade ice cream.🍦
The girls enjoyed their time at Grandma’s and picked so many beautiful flowers from her yard to take to visit my brothers and Dad at the cemetery. I hadn’t been back to Gridley since my Dad’s service. It was therapeutic. Nothing quite like going home.

Joel has come so far during his time in middle school. It took a minute for him to learn how to handle a harder class load but he is now excelling and ready to take on high school! 😳
Desmond has loved being back in the classroom this year and is thriving.
My baby, Bianca…. With no preschool (thank you covid) she entered kindergarten as a 4 year old, knowing nada. She has learned sooo much this year, soaking it all in. It’s been amazing to witness.
It’s been a great school year but we’re all ready for summer to start!

Congratulations to girl who works hard not only on the field and track but in the classroom. She earned her Academic Letter with a unweighted 4.0 GPA for 3 semesters. 📚

Celebrated Bianca’s 5th birthday over the weekend with all her birthday wishes… cousins, swimming, piñata, chocolate cake, McDonald’s, & my little pony. Today she tells me, “mommy, I’m sad my birthday is over.”

What are your New Year’s Eve plans?
If you happen to be ringing in the new year in Vegas here are the dets on this year’s firework show.
At 6 PM on Tuesday, December 31st, the strip will be shut down to all vehicle traffic making the Strip the world’s largest block party. They are estimating 400,000 people this year to attend. 😳 who is brave enough to watch the fireworks on the strip?!
The firework show will begin at midnight and last around 8 min. New this year will be a firework countdown. The numbers from ten on down will be in the form of fireworks above the casinos. Say what?!? That should be really spectacular to see.
The Strat, Treasure Island, The Venetian, Caesars Palace, Aria, Planet Hollywood & MGM Grand will all be shooting off firework simultaneously.
