When I announced that I would be teaching other women how to become document preparers for family court, many people questioned why I would do that. Some asked if I was worried about teaching others what I know or if I felt threatened by creating more professionals in the industry.

My answer has always been simple: no one is me, and I am not threatened by anyone.

In a world full of competition, I choose collaboration. I choose community. I choose leadership. I choose to teach.

There is enough room for all of us to grow, succeed, and make an impact. I never built Portillo Doc Prep from a place of fear or scarcity. I built it from passion, experience, and the desire to help people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Today, I am proud to say that what started as a vision is becoming something much bigger. I’m happy to announce that we now have new entrepreneurs entering the document preparer space, and I could not be more excited to welcome these future business owners.

Watching others gain confidence, learn a new skill, and step into entrepreneurship is a beautiful thing. A strong leader is not afraid to create more leaders.

Welcome to the new generation of entrepreneurs. This is only the beginning.

I told her I would use it — and yes, there was definitely a real photo taken just to bring this idea to life. 😂✨

At the end of the day, helping people through divorce, custody, and difficult situations while empowering women is something I’m genuinely passionate about. So this was all in good fun… but with a little truth behind it too. 🤍

How exciting is it that one of our candidates for Family Court, Department D, not only has a great personality, but truly has a warm heart that cares for others. 🤍
I love that our community gets to see this side of her, because at the end of the day, our judges are human too — normal people with hearts, families, and a true desire to serve the community with integrity.
Their role is not easy. Every day, they are faced with making difficult decisions that sometimes two people cannot make together. It takes strength, compassion, patience, and wisdom to carry that responsibility.
It is always beautiful to witness leaders who genuinely care about people and who lead with kindness while serving our city. ✨
