Lately I’ve been having more one on one conversations with people going through the consular process, and something keeps coming up.

A lot of families feel overwhelmed trying to keep track of everything. Between USCIS, NVC, documents, timelines
 it’s a lot to manage.

I went through that myself, and now that I help others, I keep seeing the same confusion over and over again.

So I started building something quietly to help organize the process step by step in a clearer way.

It’s called ConsularEase. I’m still testing it right now with a small group to make sure it actually helps.

I’m not officially launching it yet, but if you’re currently in the process and want to try it, feel free to message me 😊

AsĂ funciona paso a paso:

Going through consular processing?
Here’s what that actually means:

Consular processing is how a family member gets their immigrant visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate, instead of adjusting status inside the U.S.

Here’s a simple breakdown:
✅ Step 1: USCIS approves the immigrant petition (I-130)
✅ Step 2: The case is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC)
✅ Step 3: You submit documents & pay fees
✅ Step 4: The embassy schedules the interview
✅ Step 5: If approved, they get their visa to enter the U.S

It sounds like a lot, but you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Send me a DM and we’ll send you a free document checklist.

🚹 Got an RFE? Don’t panic. 🚹

I know that feeling.
You open the letter and your heart drops.

But here’s something important:

An RFE (Request for Evidence) is not a denial.
It simply means USCIS or the NVC needs more information.

Some common reasons I see:

‱ Missing signatures
‱ Inconsistent dates or previous addresses
‱ Income that doesn’t meet the guidelines (I-864 issues)
‱ Missing tax transcripts
‱ Incorrect household size calculations
‱ Documents uploaded under the wrong category (very common with NVC cases)
‱ Poor scans or incomplete copies
‱ Missing certified translations

Most of the time, it’s not about eligibility.
It’s about documentation.

Immigration isn’t hard because it’s impossible.
It’s hard because it’s detailed, and details matter.

If you’ve received an RFE, take a deep breath.
Review carefully. Respond clearly. Stay organized.

Silence from NVC does not automatically mean there’s a problem with your case.

Many cases sit in line waiting for review, scheduling, or embassy availability.
Not every delay is caused by a mistake.

Understanding what’s normal, and what’s not- can help reduce unnecessary stress
and prevent rushed decisions that cause real delays later.
