It sounds simple, but it's worth saying again: always triple-check that your application follows the required format. Grant reviewers are trained to set aside applications that don't meet formatting guidelines. The harder your proposal is to read, the easier it is to put down! Grant reviewers go through many applications in a day so to make sure yours gets noticed, it needs to be concise. Avoid being wordy and limit technical jargon where possible. The quicker and clearer you can get your point across, the better!
