This week, the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department issued a warning regarding fraudulent demand letters targeting delinquent taxpayers. The letters urge recipients to call a specified 1-800 number by a certain date, threatening property seizure by the state if not complied with. If you suspect fraudulent activity, reach out to the Fraud Hotline at 866-457-6789 or email [email protected].

Remember, if you have overdue property taxes, it's essential to work directly with your county treasurer's office or contact Taxation and Revenue at 505-827-0883 for assistance. Stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity!
