"Can you help me understand whether or not I need a trust? I'm single, no wife, no ex-wives, no kids, and no friends. What does the trust do for somebody?"

02/18/2021

"My wife and I have the cars in both names, the house in both names, all CDs and bank accounts in both names and somebody that will pay on debt to all bank accounts and everything. So the only way we would have a big problem is if we both passed away at the same time right? So we definitely would need a will but do you see why we would need a living trust if we have everything taken care of?"

02/16/2021

"I don't have a will. I've been living with my girlfriend for about 11 years. We don't really get along too well. If I pass away without the will being made to my brother, does she have any claim to it?"

02/15/2021

"Should I put my car in my trust? Why or why not?"

02/12/2021

"I own some rental properties and I don't have a trust. One of things that I don't like is currently all the properties are in my name. So if I ever had a law suit it would be easy to find my assets. When you name a trust and put a title on a trust is it always your name?"

"I have a trust question. I have a trust. My husband is deceased. I have three children. The oldest son passed away last year. I have a daughter who is mentally disabled. I have one son left who is the executor of the trust. My question is if he is the executor and passes away, before me, would I then have to name a trust company to sell all of my properties and to disburse monthly funds to my disable daughter?"

02/04/2021

"I recently moved to North Carolina. I don't have a trust yet but I'd like to put everything I own into it to get around paying probate fees. Can I go through another state to set this up or do I have to go through the state that I live in?"

"What kind of things does one put in a trust?"
