Happy “50 Years A Lawyer”!

It was 50 years ago on May 1st that Ralph Howes was sworn in and admitted to the Indiana Bar. However, there was no time to celebrate. He immediately hopped on a flight back to Newport News, Virginia, as he only had a 24 hour pass from the Army to come to Indiana for the ceremony. Congratulations on 50 years.

Howes & Howes Law Firm has joined forces with the City of La Porte, Laura Cutler and Bethany, her talented art student at IUSB, to paint a mural on the back of our office building.

This is not the final project. Laura tells me this a "doodle grid", a technique used by artists to scale up their design. The actual mural will be painted over this.

Bethany will be painting on the weekends now though the Sunflower Festival. We will continue to post photos of the project as it takes shape.

Thank you Ralph Howes. All our candidates send out a great sign of appreciation for your hard and tireless work during the election. Chuck Watterson woke up to a 102 fever on election day. We called Ralph and he stepped in as our election board proxy. Ralph worked late into the night for 2 days to makes sure votes were counted properly. Ralph teamed with Nelson Picardo, who also did an outstanding job, to get the votes counted. With Ralph's 20 years experience as an election board member he was instrumental in getting the job done. THANK YOU again.
