 The age-old question:

Is Becket a better attorney or a better fisherman? 🎣⚖️

On one hand, he’s recovered millions for clients, won cases, and can argue his way out of just about anything.

On the other hand, he’s convinced us that every fish he catches is “the biggest one he’s ever seen” and somehow has photographic evidence to prove it. 📸🐟

Pleaded guilty and now unsure about it? It's understandable to have second thoughts, and while changing your plea can be challenging, it is not impossible. Here’s what the law provides:

Courts will only consider withdrawing a guilty plea in rare situations:

🔒 The judge didn't follow proper procedure before accepting your plea.
⚖️ Your lawyer provided ineffective counsel, such as failing to give you the information needed to make an informed decision.
🚨 Your plea wasn't truly voluntary, for example, if it was made under coercion or without full understanding.

These exceptions can be challenging to meet, but with the right support, it is possible to move forward. That’s why choosing your lawyer before pleading is so important.
