📍Born at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Sylvia Taylor grew up with strong family values and a dedication to hard work. She graduated with honors from Fifth Ward High School and earned a scholarship to Dillard University, where she decided to pursue law.

From New Orleans to Washington, D.C., Sylvia Taylor has spent her career fighting for justice. As a dedicated advocate, mediator, and Workers’ Compensation Judge, she’s made a lasting impact on Louisiana’s legal landscape. Her passion for justice continues as she serves as State Representative in Louisiana’s 57th district and runs her private practice in LaPlace, Taylor, McDowell, Steib Murphy Law, LLC.

Our hearts are heavy as we reflect on the recent Bourbon street tragedy in New Orleans. While many gathered to celebrate the rich culture and spirit of this beautiful city, we were reminded of the fragility of life and the importance of coming together in times of sorrow.

To all those affected, we send our deepest condolences and support. Together, we will heal and continue to celebrate the resilience of our community.

We are thrilled to announce that our law firm will be participating in the Chick-fil-A LaPlace and Kiwanis Club of Tri Parishes back to school uniform drive tomorrow. As we gear up for the new school year, we are excited to help provide free notary services for any school related forms and assist in the uniform giveaway. We believe that every child deserves to start the school year off on the right foot, and we are proud to be able to support our community in this way. See everyone tomorrow! 📚✏️👔
