’s the real difference between a settlement and a verdict?
A settlement happens when the client and the insurance company reach an amicable agreement. It’s a negotiated resolution that puts control back in your hands—no jury, no judge deciding your future.
A verdict, on the other hand, means going to trial. Your case is decided by a jury (usually 12 people) or, in some situations, by a judge. At that point, the outcome is no longer fully in your control.
Most cases are best resolved through settlement because it removes uncertainty and keeps decision-making with the people directly involved. But when negotiations reach a standstill, going to trial may be necessary—and that’s when strong representation matters most.
The goal is always the same: protect our clients and pursue the best possible outcome, every step of the way.
